What a week!

Well this week has definitely turned out to be....interesting.
From the mysterious illness I managed to come down with after thursday's drenching, to trying to sort out what I'm really wanting to do this year, it certainly has had me thinking hard!
At least I think I've managed to sort a few things now - like how I can have the timetable I want, so its not quite so stressful, but I still get everything done in time...and how I might be able to fit in a few other things I really would like to as well

I also found a pleasant surprise when I looked at our year planner - It looks like we only have 5 weeks of class before mid semester break! Honestly there are times when having short terms really is AWESOME! and I think this is going to be one.  There's a number of things I'm really looking forward to doing in the coming hols, not the least of which is being able to lead the kids music again. Will be really interesting seeing how they like the new songs I'm taking down for them, which come off a CD by a certain former Newsboy... Just hope the other musicians there will also be as keen, cause this should be good!

The Holidays come near to an End.

Well everything is almost ready for me to start the new semester on Monday.  Handed over the permission for the fees to be added to my loan today...somewhat reluctantly (paying $5800 is never easy when you think of what else you could have done with that money) Got my new ID card too, which is used for pretty much anything you could possibly think of.  Was going to get a new photo taken for the one this year, but in the end decided to stick with the same one as last year (being out in the pouring rain for the previous 2 hours swayed my decision - yes normally I do like the rain...just not when I have to have pics taken or when it affects Comatose).  Have to go in on Thursday morning to pick up the course materials books, (and get the long list of other things they expect me to use even more of my non existent money to pay for). Would like to be able to earn more, but just don't have any time during the precise hours necessary (and then there is also the transport trouble), still maybe later in the second semester when I have less classes. In the meantime, at least I have enough money to cover current costs, plus a little extra to save for later on in the year, so I guess that's better than it could have been. And I have the few last days of this holidays to enjoy too.

And here it begins

16 random things about me
  1. I'm a Christian, a Jesus Freak, a Christ Follower, a Living Heart Donor (Mark 12:30-31), Call it what you want - I'll never be ashamed of it
  2. I really enjoy Christian music of almost any description. Newsboys, Rapture Ruckus, Kutless, FF5, Skillet, Rich Mullins, and Calling Elijah, are a few that come to mind, however there are many others
  3. The best TV programs are the older ones - Get Smart, M*A*S*H etc
  4. In my opinion, Macs will always be the best computers
  5. I have far too many cellphones, though I'm used to it by now
  6. In keeping with that, I have an alarm clock radio, but I don't use it.  I prefer waking up to a text on my cellphone, though I do set the phone alarm as a backup
  7. One of my favourite things about my newest cellphone is the qwerty keyboard, so I can type any texts
  8. I tend to be a perfectionist, and as a result will almost never say I'm good at something
  9. Wolves are my favourite animal, but I also really like dogs
  10. I've never seen snow, except in pictures or from about 6-7km away (or more), though I have been to the mountains 3 times and climbed one of them once on school trips
  11. The Newsboys 'Shine' book is awesome, as are all of the books by Ted Dekker and a few other authors
  12. I am actually quite shy, though I tend to try to hide it
  13. I know a few words in 10 languages, a few sentences in another 3, and am fluent in another 2 (one of which is English of course)
  14. Pizza and chocolate are two of my favourite foods, and L&P is my favourite drink (followed in no particular order by Mountain Dew, Orange and Barley and Lemonade, and water)
  15. I play the keyboard, and have done so since I was 7
  16. I prefer night time, however I could be considered both a night and a morning person as I tend to get up early and get to sleep late, and I have been known for occasional all nighters
